Our Mission:

The aim of the Neighborhood League Shops Foundations, Inc. is to maintain consignment/donation stores that are well integrated into the Wayne retail community, which stores raise monies designated for donation to local nonprofit organizations. The specific organizations selected to receive funds must be determined to be financially sound, well managed, of good repute, and make a worthy contribution to the local community in either health care or special human needs. Recipient organizations must be willing to provide support to the corporation in the form of publicity, volunteer assistance, or donation of goods.

 

Recipients of Our 2014 Grants:

Wayne Senior Center
Their mission is to enrich the lives of older adults. Seniors are encouraged to be empowered to grow, develop, and become involved in their communities through a wide varioety of programs.

Women's Resource Center
WRC supports women, strengthens families, and builds communities through information and referral, counseling, and legal and educational services.

The Timothy School
Timothy School teaches communication, social, cognitive and life skills necessary for students with autism to live as independently as possible.

Peter's Place
Peter's Place provides safe and supportive environments for grieving children and families. They also act as a community resource to foster understanding of the effects of grief and death.

Radnor ABC Program (A Better Chance)
The mission of A Better Chance is to identify and recruit academically talented and motivated students of color from disadvantaged school districts and place them in outstanding public, independent and private high schools across the United States. Radnor A Better Chance students live in a group home setting, attend Radnor High School and are in an advanced college prep curriculum.

The Clinic
The Clinic provides quality health care to the uninsured in an atmosphere which fosters dignity and respect for their patients.

Foundation For Learning in Tredyffrin/Easttown (FLITE)
FLITE helps to assure educational excellence for the public school children in Tredyffrin and Easttown Townshiops. As a priority, the Foundation targets its funding toward programs that reach groups and individual students who are unable to take full advantage of what the district offers.

Interfaith Hospitality Network of the Main Line (IHN-Main Line)
IHN-Main Line provides a caring and positive environment for homeless families and their children while they design and implement a plan to break the cycle of homelessness in their lives.
