Try Me?

Welcome to the latest issue of the Lansing Edition of Geoff Wilbur's Renegade Newsletter. This is another "Special Edition" to help us get the Renegade back on schedule. A variety of things combined to limit distribution once again -- mostly the continuation of significant extra hours at my "day job" and the lack of an advertising sales force, but also the attention I've paid recently to the Industry Editions -- the original Industry Edition has been getting bands a noticeably increased level of late. In fact, a November Industry Edition feature article led directly to New Jersey's Bad Attitude inking a record deal. Needless to say, we're all quite excited here at the Renegade.

This issue of the Lansing Edition only has an on-the-street circulation of 60, but we'll be back with wider distribution (500 copies) next issue in September.

About me: Since 1989, my articles have been published in several states and in two foreign countries. During that time, I have seen many outstanding bands go unnoticed. It is my goal to introduce as many of these great bands as possible to interested fans and music industry insiders. Therefore, with your support, I bring the best of the music industry to Lansing, while introducing the national music industry to the best of Lansing's local music scene. If you like what you read, see the subscription information on page 6 for our reasonable subscription rates. Thanks for reading!

Cheers!

Geoff Wilbur
