A Tribute to Ikutaro Kakehashi
I happened to be in the midst of recording a MIDI based album when I learned of the passing of Ikutaro Kakehashi:

Ikutaro Kakehashi (梯 郁太郎 Kakehashi Ikutarō 7 February 1930 – 1 April 2017) was an engineer, an entrepreneur, and the founder of Ace Tone, Roland Corporation and ATV, Japanese manufacturers of electronic musical instruments. He was known for his role in the development of Ace Tone and Roland drum machines and the MIDI standard.

An album by The Electric Slugs.

Instrumentation: MicroKorg, MiniNova, Casio WK-3500, Yamaha PSR-740, Kurzweil 88Mx, Ableton Alesis Software, Alesis Vortex, Alesis iO2, Roland VS-1680, Behringer Midi Foot Controller

All music is written and recorded spontaneously.
