O2 And You

lyrics

If you’ve ever had the urge,
To submerge,
Then you’ll know,
What I’m talking about,
Because O2,
Is not something,
You can go…
Without.

I suppose that’s something,
You already knew?

But, did you know,
All the things O2,
Can do for you?

Some believe,
It will relieve,
Sinuses, headaches and stress,
While increasing,
Energy and alertness,
So start releasing,
Some CO2,
And, breath in,
Again!

Those touting the benefit,
May go so far,
As to visit an “oxygen bar,”
And, sit.
But, that’s not the best,
Instead, I suggest,
A better habit,
Befriend a plant,
From our lovely planet,
Surround yourself,
There is a wealth…
An abundance of life,
That’ll recycle CO2,
And, spew fresh O2,
For you.

Yes! You can help the world,
And, your body, too,
A solution,
To reduce pollution,
And, allow you,
To grow old…
Postpone your death,
Yes! Start giving your CO2,
It’ll be like a breath,
Of fresh air for you.

NOTES
From the FDA’s “Oxygen Bars: Is a Breath of Fresh Air Worth It?”
By Linda Bren
Oxygen fans tout the benefits of oxygen as reducing stress, increasing energy and alertness, lessening the effects of hangovers, headaches, and sinus problems, and generally relaxing the body. But there are no long-term, well-controlled scientific studies that support these claims for oxygen in healthy people.

From the American Lung Associations “Oxygen Therapy Fact Sheet”
November 2004
Oxygen is an element, a gas, and a drug that can help people who have certain lung diseases. The cells in the body get their energy from the interaction of oxygen with food. The energy produced is used to do everything from breathing, to carrying out bodily functions, to going to the grocery store. Some lung diseases, such as emphysema and sarcoidosis, reduce lung function to the extent that supplemental oxygen is needed to continue normal bodily function. For many people with end stage lung disease, supplemental oxygen allows their bodies to get the oxygen that they need and may also help them be more active.

From Bar O2 Limited’s “O2 Benefits”
300 years ago the Oxygen content in the air we breathe was over 38%. Today it’s only 20.9% and as low 12 -15% in some cities.

Oxygen is THE essential element required for our body’s to function correctly it is needed by every cell in our body ranging from digestion to brain functions, we can live without food for up to a month, without water for days but without Oxygen we will live for little more than 4-5 minutes.
