Welcome to the Spring 2001 issue of the Online Edition of Geoff Wilbur's Renegade Newsletter. This edition is the online version of the March 2001 Street Edition. Also, as a special bonus, it includes the material from the Spring 2001 Country Music Industry Edition. The Street Edition is mailed to subscribers around the United States. The March 2001 Street Edition was the last Street Edition ever published. All Street Edition content was previously always duplicated in the Online Edition. Now, the GWRN's coverage of signed bands will be available only on the web. However, we encourage you to subscribe to our two quarterly print publications, the Industry Edition and the Country Music Industry Edition, in which we cover unsigned and independent bands only.
About me: Since 1989, my articles have been published in several local, regional, and national publications. During that time, I have seen many outstanding bands go unnoticed. It is my goal to introduce as many of these great bands as possible to interested fans and music industry insiders. Therefore, with your support, I bring the best of the music industry to music fans, while introducing the national music industry to the best unsigned acts, especially via the Industry Editions. If you like what you read, see the printable subscription form for our reasonable subscription rates.
Also, if you want to stay up-to-date on the latest news about Geoff Wilbur's Renegade Newsletter, including a reminder when each new issue is placed online, sign up for the Geoff Wilbur's Renegade Newsletter announcement mailing list by sending a blank e-mail to gwrn-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. You'll get a monthly update with the latest information about Geoff Wilbur's Renegade Newsletter. It will include upcoming events, writer and publisher public appearances, deadlines, and other news about Geoff Wilbur's Renegade Newsletter. It will also let you know when the website is updated with new quarterly editions. One update is scheduled each month with, at most, 5-10 additional news flashes per year possible if and when last minute events occur. In other words, it will be infrequent enough that it won't clog up your e-mailbox. (So far, in the one-and-a-half year history of the e-mail list, we have sent one news flash.) If you ever want to get off the monthly announcement list, you'll be able to do it easily by sending an e-mail to gwrn-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com.
Thanks for reading!
Cheers!
